WiFi & networks
WiFi installation across Berkshire - proper coverage in every room
Blackspots, dropped calls upstairs and a garden office with no signal at all - solved with a properly surveyed access-point network, not another plug-in extender that halves your speed.
- Heat-map survey
- Ethernet cabling
- Garden office links

Surveyed

Berkshire and Oxfordshire service
Fast broadband and poor WiFi are two entirely separate problems
Switching to full fibre won't help a back bedroom that can't see the router. Berkshire's housing makes this worse than average: solid old walls in villages around Sonning and Pangbourne, foil-backed insulation and metal joists in newer Wokingham and Bracknell estates, and long thin house conversions where the router sits at one end while the problem room's at the other.
We start with a survey, checking real signal and interference room by room, then build the design around what we actually find. That usually means one or two ceiling or wall access points fed by hardwired cable, all running under a single network name so devices roam without dropping out.
Where running a cable isn't practical, we fit a properly specified mesh system with a wired link wherever we can reach one, and we set the channels, bands and priorities by hand rather than leaving everything on factory settings.
What's included
WiFi & networks done properly, first visit
Signal survey and heat map
Measured room by room so the design is based on real numbers, not a guess.
Ceiling and wall access points
Discreet, business-grade units giving even coverage instead of one router shouting from a corner.
Cat6 cabling
Hardwired points for TVs, games consoles, home offices and CCTV, run back to a patch panel.
Garden office links
Armoured buried cable or a wireless bridge to outbuildings and annexes.
Mesh systems
Supplied and set up with a wired backhaul link wherever the building allows it.
Small business coverage
Guest networks and reliable signal for shops, salons and offices across Berkshire.
How it works
WiFi & networks: from phone call to finished job
- 01
Tell us where it fails
Which rooms drop out, and what you're trying to do there - calls, streaming, working from home.
- 02
Survey the property
We measure signal and interference through the house and check where cable can realistically run.
- 03
Fixed design and price
You'll get a clear plan showing how many access points, where they go, and what it costs.
- 04
Fit and hand over
Cabled, configured, speed-tested room by room, and shown to you on your own phone.
Questions
WiFi & networks questions, answered straight
Anything not covered here, call 0118 968 0881 and speak to an engineer — not a scripted call handler.
Wouldn't a plug-in extender do the same job?
Rarely. Most extenders cut your speed roughly in half and create a separate network your devices get stuck on. Wired access points keep full speed and hand off between rooms cleanly.
Can you get WiFi out to my garden office?
Yes - usually with buried outdoor-rated cable, or a wireless bridge where digging isn't an option.
Does it matter which broadband provider I use?
No. We work with whatever router your provider gave you, or swap it for something better if that's what's holding things back.
Why is the WiFi so poor in my new-build?
Foil-backed insulation and metal floor joists block and bounce back 5GHz signal badly. Wired access points on each floor usually sort it completely.
