Camera position and lighting decide the footage
A camera mounted high on a gable end looks the part but often only manages to film the top of someone's hood. Getting a usable image means the right lens for the distance involved, mounted at a height and angle that catches faces and number plates, with enough light - infrared or white - for a 3am scene.
We survey the property, agree what needs covering - driveway, side access, outbuildings, shop floor - and spec cameras and recorder storage to suit, typically holding around 30 days of footage. Everything runs on shielded cable back to a recorder kept somewhere discreet and secure.
Systems are set up for remote viewing with strong passwords and no default logins left in place, and we'll talk you through the GDPR side where a camera might catch a neighbour's garden or a public footpath - a real consideration for businesses across Reading and the wider Thames Valley.

Questions
CCTV & security questions, answered straight
Anything not covered here, call 0118 968 0885 and speak to an engineer — not a scripted call handler.
How many cameras will I actually need?
Most Berkshire homes are covered well with three to five cameras - front approach, driveway, side access and rear. The survey confirms the exact number.
Can I check the cameras while I'm away from home?
Yes - both live and recorded footage stream to your phone or tablet from anywhere.
How long does footage stay stored?
Typically around 30 days, depending on how many cameras and what resolution. We size the storage to match what you want kept.
Is it OK to have a camera pointing towards the street?
It can be, but any camera that captures beyond your own boundary brings GDPR obligations with it. We'll advise on angles and signage during the survey.
