Berkshire and Oxfordshire service
The cable behind the dish decides if it holds up
Satellite reception has very little margin for error. A dish that's out of true by less than a degree can look fine on a dry afternoon and drop out completely the moment it rains hard. We set every dish up using a proper signal meter, working to the strongest, cleanest reading rather than stopping the moment a picture appears.
We fit and repair for Sky Q, Sky Stream, Freesat, and international channel packages such as Hotbird, Astra 19.2 and Turksat. When a house needs several rooms fed at once, we specify quad or octo LNBs and run individual cables to each point rather than splitting one feed too thinly.
Cable runs are clipped tidily, holes drilled and sealed with care, and every join finished with proper compression connectors. For period and conservation-area homes around Henley-on-Thames, Sonning and Pangbourne, we can often tuck the dish out of sight at the rear, or fit a smaller mesh dish that's far less noticeable.
What's included
Satellite & Sky done properly, first visit
New dish fitting
Sized correctly for your part of Berkshire and mounted to wall, chimney, patio post or pole.
Sky Q and Sky Stream
Existing boxes moved, reconnected or brought back online, including mini-box and hybrid setups.
Post-storm realignment
Dishes knocked out of true by wind re-set to peak signal and the bracket tightened properly.
LNB swaps
Failed or water-damaged LNBs replaced, upgrading to quad or octo for future multi-room use.
International satellite feeds
Hotbird, Astra, Turksat and Nilesat set up with the right dish size for reliable reception here.
Tidy cable routing
Cables run through floor voids and lofts where possible, finished at wall plates rather than left trailing.
How it works
Satellite & Sky: from phone call to finished job
- 01
Get in touch
Give us your postcode and describe what's happening on screen. Often we can narrow down the likely cause before the van's even loaded.
- 02
On-site check
Your engineer reads the actual signal at roof height, rather than assuming it matches the house next door.
- 03
Clear price
You'll know the cost before anything is fitted, drilled or climbed.
- 04
Fit and prove it
Once the work's done, every point in the house is checked and the area left as we found it.
Questions
Satellite & Sky questions, answered straight
Anything not covered here, call 0118 968 0881 and speak to an engineer — not a scripted call handler.
Can you fit a dish if I don't have a Sky subscription?
Yes - we're independent of Sky, so we supply and fit the dish and cabling, and you can run Freesat, Sky or any free-to-air box off the same install.
My Sky picture cuts out every time it rains hard.
That's almost always a slightly-off alignment, a tired LNB, or damp inside a connector. All three are sorted in one visit.
Can the dish be somewhere less obvious?
Usually, yes, provided the new spot still has a clear line south-east. We'll check before drilling anything.
Do you do satellite work on flats?
Yes, subject to the freeholder's permission. Where individual dishes aren't allowed, we can often connect via the block's communal system instead.
